Lonely Aussies

I read a report yesterday in a local Australian paper that said a third of the Australian population (35% of men, and 29% of women) admit that loneliness is a problem for them. This is more than the percentage who live alone (just less than a quarter), so it’s not just about being alone.

If that statistic is the same everywhere, that suggests that loneliness is a problem for about two BILLION people. So if you ever think you’re alone in feeling isolated, disconnected, out of touch, invisible… lonely – you’re not. You’re in a HUGE group who feel much the same. So don’t feel bad about feeling lonely. The chances are that a third of the people around you are lonely, too.

Now there’s an opportunity…
